SetSide Privacy Policy

SetSide is designed so your financial records stay on your device. Greyscale Holding LLC does not operate an account system for SetSide and does not collect your income, expenses, receipts, trips, or tax estimates.

Information stored on your iPhone

Income entries, expenses, receipt images, OCR results, mileage records, route rules, tax-profile inputs, payment records, and generated reports are stored locally on your device using Apple frameworks. SetSide does not upload this information to developer-operated servers.

Camera, photos, and receipt recognition

If you choose receipt capture, SetSide accesses the camera or a photo you select. Text recognition runs on-device. Receipt images and extracted details remain in the app's local storage unless you export or share them.

Location and mileage

Location permission is optional. When enabled, SetSide uses Apple location services to identify meaningful location changes and visit endpoints for pending-drive suggestions. The app does not send location data to Greyscale Holding LLC. Manual mileage entry remains available when permission is declined.

Notifications

SetSide can schedule local reminders for estimated tax deadlines and trial timing. These notifications are generated and stored by your device.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. SetSide receives subscription-status information needed to unlock features, while Apple handles payment and account information under Apple's privacy policy. Greyscale Holding LLC does not receive your full payment-card details.

Exports and sharing

SetSide creates PDF and CSV exports only when you request them. You choose the destination through Apple's share sheet. Once shared, the recipient or selected service controls that copy.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

SetSide contains no third-party advertising SDK and no developer-operated analytics SDK. We do not sell app data and do not track you across apps or websites.

Retention and deletion

Records remain on your device until you delete them or delete the app. Deleting SetSide removes its local app container, subject to device backups you control through Apple services. Subscription records remain with Apple.

Children

SetSide is intended for adults managing self-employment activity and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version and effective date will be posted at this URL. A policy change will not cause previously local-only records to be uploaded without clear notice and consent.
